Great accommodation and beautifully renovated and presented. The property had everything we needed and we really liked the log burner which we made use of every evening. We weren’t able to do all the walking we wanted due to the snow but will definitely return in better weather.Thanks Nicola.

Fab location in a beautiful part of the world. House as described. Spotless and comfortable. Within walking distance of the town centre. Will definately stay here again if we are ever back in the Peak District. Had a great weekend

Very clean and comfortable cottage, and great bath. The steep climb out of Matlock is rewarded by nice views across the valley. All communication with Nicola very smooth.

Just back from 5 Days in Matlock with our family after a little staycation. We found this house hosted by Nicola and it suited our needs perfectly for a family of 4.
We basically used the house as a stop gap between local attractions including days out at the heights, gullivers theme park and Alton towers water park. Most things were within an easy commute or walk so it made a good central location.
The local town is lovely with a really friendly atmosphere, plenty of local shops and some really nice places to eat including Buddy’s diner.
We’d happily recommend the house and the host to others.

We had an excellent stay in a well-equipped, cosy and immaculate cottage. All our needs were catered for.
We throughly enjoyed Matlock and exploring the area- lots of fun things to do with kids. We would book again any time.

Lovely clean, comfortable and well-equipped house. Steep hill into Matlock but the Sycamore pub was an easy walk away with lovely food and welcoming staff.

We had a great (Email hidden by Airbnb) fortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean, the house was within easy walking distance of the town centre (although not quite as easy on the way back) and was the ideal base to explore the Peak District. Matlock is a lovely town and the surrounding countryside is fantastic.

Lovely little house and patio for drinking wine outside! Nice & clean. Close to town with a very steep walk back up the hill, but only takes 10/15 minutes – a good little workout!

My sister, friend, goddaughter and I stayed here for 2 nights. We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed ourselves. All rooms were well decorated and maintained and the main bathroom is stunning.

The location is perfect for visiting Matlock Bath and Gullivers Kingdom. I would definitely stay here again.

Great stay in Matlock – close to town but a bit hilly so be prepared for a steep walk back up the hill. However the views make it worth it! 🙂 Great communication from Nicola and beautiful property- lovely and clean. Thanks again. Lucy, Laura, Alex & David x

Nicola’s place is in a fantastic location – close to town and easy access for great walking. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed for a lovely weekend.

A great place to stay, close to all the amenities you might want for a relaxing weekend, walking, fishing etc and a stone’s throw from Bakewell too. Highly recommended

We cannot recommend this fantastic, beautiful house enough. Its spotless and has spectacular views across Matlock. We visited with friends and the master bathroom is a real treat, as the bath and shower are amazing! We had everything we needed already provided and we enjoyed relaxing in the courtyard area listening to the birdsong. The property is set away from the town, but within walking distance and we hope to visit again in the colder months, so we can use the log burner! Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

Beautiful immaculate house and in a fantastic location for visiting the surrounding area. Very clean and comfortable, especially the bath in the main bathroom! A very welcoming host.

If you want very comfy beds and a very close proximity to Matlock, this is the place for you! A lovely and comfortable stay.

This is a really lovely property and suited our needs perfectly. We were a group of 4 friends but the house would equally suit a family. The house was spotlessly clean on arrival and the provision of a pint of milk and a cake was very thoughtful. The location is great for exploring the local area and lots of walks are available from the doorstep. We would recommend The Sycamore Inn, approx 3 minute walk away for a very welcoming traditional pub meal. Would definitely stay at March Cottage again and recommend to others.

A well equipped and warm house with everything we needed for a relaxing break in the Peak District.

Beautiful cottage, greeted on entry with a warm welcome of cake and milk, a very clean cosy warm cottage. Great location five minute walk from the town centre. The bath tub was the best after a long day of walking and exploring. Would defiantly stay again and recommend in the future.

Such a lovely cottage tucked on a hill with beautiful views. It’s even nicer than it looks from the pictures (which is already gorgeous), warm and super comfortable. Easy to get to by car – but there’s a hill that’ll keep you fit on the way back if you do walk into town 😂 thank you for having me Nicola!

We had a lovely stay at marsh cottage, the cottage was well equipped and clean and tidy.

The accommodation is lovely and is exactly as described in the listing. Nicola’s cottage was exceptionally clean and completely spotless. The location is great and very central to Matlock. Nicola was a great host and check-in was straightforward. I would definitely not hesitate to book Nicola’s cottage again.

Extremely clean and well laid out house

When I first made the booking, I was unsure what to expect since there was no previous reviews. But because the space is perfect for my family, I booked it anyway. My concerns turned out to be completely unnecessary. Nickey was very responsive before the booking. She reached out to us prior to the checkin. The cottage is impeccably clean and nicely decorated. Everything is just as described on the listing, if not better. The fresh flowers in the kitchen was a nice touch. She also left us a lemon cake and a bottle of milk for breakfast, which was super helpful because we arrived quite late on the day, and didn’t have to run to the supermarket. We had all we needed in the kitchen to prepare a few family meals. We always managed to find parking on the street just outside. The stairs are a little steep but that’s probably because we stay in flat in London and are not used to it. My 60 years old parents have no problems with them. We also carried a baby up and down the stairs with no issues. All in all, we had a great stay at the cottage and would definitely recommend to others.
